Statistics
From April 2006 to April
2007 The Harbour has provided 1697 counselling and psychotherapy
sessions to 119 individuals and couples. 61% of these sessions
were used by women and 39% by men. 13% of our clients were from
black and minority ethnic backgrounds.
The Harbours clients fall broadly into three categories:
-
53% are people with a life-threatening
illness
-
31% are carers/partners of a person
with a life-threatening illness and
-
16% are people bereaved through a
life-threatening illness
However it should be pointed out that a large number of our clients
fall into more than one category. For example in some cases a
bereaved person may also have a life-threatening illness or a person
diagnosed with a life-threatening illness may also be in a
relationship with someone who is terminally ill. |
